Making his return to the Graduation Music site is glvsshouse, who’s formerly known to listeners as King Kade. This time around, the Quincy native drops off two extremely well-executed singles titled “Games” and “Again”.
“Games”, which utilizes production at the hands of San Antonio’s Julian Skiboat, is a true breath of fresh air. While the lyrical content of the song revolves around moments in life that are anything but pleasant — glvsshouse manages to soar over the vibrant instrumental, helping to instill an overall feeling of optimism. “Again” also takes influence from tumultuous relationship experience, however takes on a much more somber temperament. Establishing an almost yin and yang relationship between the pairing of songs, glvsshouse reminds his fans of just how versatile of an artist he is. Be on the lookout for his upcoming collab EP with Donald Grunge which is set to drop in the coming months.
Quincy’s King Kade returns to the Graduation Music site today alongside Yelohill and Hit-Town with a highly-energetic track titled “Hot Topic”.
While the majority of his discography may be rooted in exceptional vocal work, King Kade utilizes “Hot Topic” to showcase his ability to rap. He’s proven to be one of the more versatile artists to hail from Massachusetts, and tends to bless his listeners with a little something new on each release. Both Yelohill and Hit-Town compliment Kade seamlessly here, as the group glides effortlessly over some well-structured production at the hands of Mike Hector. Show King Kade some love as he’s showing no signs of slowing pace anytime soon.
It’s always a dope feeling when a new artist makes his way onto the Graduation Music pages. Today, hailing from Quincy, an act by the name of Quinn steps up to the plate with some compelling bars that demand your attention. Following a nearly two-year-long hiatus from releasing music, “Avowal” serves as Quinn’s moment to prove that he’s spent a great deal of time reflecting on what’s truly important in his life.
The second single off of his upcoming project Nueva Vida, “Avowal” is a promising sign of new life in Quinn’s discography. Primarily circulating around dissatisfaction with life, the birth of his son, and the burning desire to reach the point of glory, this record offers a sampler as to what’s been going through Quinn’s head as of late. He doesn’t shy away from putting the truth into his raps, which makes the name of the song so perfect. In the biography of the track, it also includes the definition of the word “avowal”, which states:
Avowal: an affirmation of the truth of what you believe. It’s an honest admission. An avowal is a way of owning up to or declaring something. To avow is to acknowledge or claim something.
Quinn isn’t afraid of who he is, and truthfully, doesn’t care about what anyone else thinks of him. His mentality is based around his family, friends, and passion for music. With that in mind, he’s assured that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Saying I’m excited for Nueva Vida after this release would be a severe understatement.
Atop some elegant production via THE HISTORIAN, Dave Wonderz delivered some new heat for us yesterday. Wonderz details how he’s been feeling like it’s him against the world, but despite that, he knows he’s got what it takes to excel.
