Boston is currently home to an insane number of highly-talented newcomers, one of which goes by the name Marquis Filthy. Filthy has been making arguably some of the best music coming out of the state for quite some time now, and with every new release, he continues to move his creative vision forward with a thorough, addictive touch. That being said, today, fans receive the newest visual companion from Marquis Filthy for the song “Amnesia’.
Reminding us all that if we truly have a dream, we shouldn’t let anything get in the way of achieving it, this track is an anthem by itself. Once fitting scenery of Filthy and a love interest of his are added, the sound and feel are enhanced and brought to new heights, making for a perfect example of how Marquis Filthy has such a strong grip on his strengths and sonic/creative direction. Be sure not to miss this one, because Boston’s own did something truly impressive.

You may have seen Marquis Filthy on our pages in the past, but trust me when I say that we here at Graduation Music haven’t forgotten about the talent that this young artist possesses. He knows just how to craft his songs in a manner that pushes them into the form of masterpieces rather than quickly-compiled singles, and thinking about the smooth vocals that Filthy is capable of delivering, he’s ready for a huge year in 2018. Today, he returns to our pages with two new singles: “Superman” and “Lovely”.
The first of the two offerings that we are here to offer to readers, “Superman”, is actually a cover of the SZA song “Supermodel”. Understandably, SZA is an ambitious artist to attempt to cover considering just how talented she is, but I honestly believe that Filthy was able to do her talent justice in his cover. The acoustic guitar on the track (courtesy of Anaya B) pushes perfectly off of his passionate vocals, and all in all, “Superman” comes together as a dope release. Listen to it below.
The second of the two is “Lovely”, an original single from the young artist with features from Elle and Vanni. This piano-led potential hit is in every way a song with immense replay value, looking to melodic production via Rascal to detail a past relationship in a vivid manner. The feelings that come across on this track are relatable to any listener, and with such an infectious mood pushed to the surface in this one, it’s only a matter of time until everyone is talking about Marquis Filthy. Having said that, be sure to get hip and check out “Lovely” below.

If you’ve been following Graduation Music lately, there’s a good chance that you have heard of 2020 Collective’s own Kleo and his infectious catalog of music. Beyond that, you have probably come across the name Marquis Filthy on our pages once or twice. Today, the two join together as Filthy is back on our pages to bless us with a remix of Kleo’s “Stunt More” in a wonderfully lyrical and soulful manner.
This track takes place over dreamy, dimly-lit production filled with melodic piano keys and dusty percussion, setting a perfect atmosphere for Filthy and Kleo to display their songwriting talents over as they explore their ambitions with delicate yet confident deliveries. Sampling Nas’ classic lines, “Life’s a bitch and then you die/ That’s why we get high/ ‘Cause you never know when you’re gonna go“, its introspective nature is perfect to strike a chord in any listener as both inspirational and relatable at the same time, lending itself to the increasingly dope artistry from both Filthy and Kleo that we have been lucky enough to witness throughout the year.
But don’t take my word for it, click play on the “Stunt More” remix below and keep this anthem on repeat heading into 2018.
