LiBossi – “When I’m With You”

By: Seamus Fay

Few artists have an energy as addicting as Dorchester’s own, LiBossi. We’ve covered this budding star on our pages several times in the past, and looking back, it goes without saying that he has only honed in on his skills with each successive offering. This is an artist who knows what he wants to make and will go to the ends of the Earth to make it, resulting in a brilliant, geuine sense of self that is addicting to listen to from a fan’s perspective. That said, LiBossi is back once again today to share his talents with a new single, “When I’m With You”.

Ignited by the aforementioned authenticity, this song utilizes a gorgeous soul sample to accompany LiBossi’s naturally-charismatic cadences. His lyrics, while dense in meaning and subject matter, are tinted by an individualistic charm, and further so, his voice sounds right at home amongst the up-tempo rhythm of the background instrumental. “When I’m With You” is yet another fantastic single to add to the Dorchester native’s catalog, so be sure to stream this one at the link below and keep it on repeat all weekend long!

[PREMIERE] LiBossi x Dan Esab – “Hearts and Flowers”

By: Seamus Fay

Just a few weeks ago, an artist by the name LiBossi made his Graduation Music debut with an energetic single entitled “Cheryl David” – an anthemic offering and personally, one of my favorite songs to come out of the Boston area in recent months. Today, the Dorchester native makes his return to our pages with a brand new song, “Hearts and Flowers”, alongside London-based artist Dan Esab. The minute that LiBossi gave me a listen to this one prior to release, I knew that we had to do a Graduation Music premiere. “Hearts and Flowers” is quite simply something special.

The reason that I first fell in love with LiBossi’s sound was due to his unrivaled ability to bring lively energy to a song while maintaining a polished authenticity that not many artists can hold. He clearly showed an advanced artistry far beyond his years, and “Hearts and Flowers” follows this same trend. Its melodic textures and illustrative, bellowing soundscapes make for an unbelievable release in whole, and with this song as proof, it truly goes without saying that LiBossi and Dan Esab are the perfect duo.

From the first second to the last, this track acts as the perfect offering to bring listeners from the winter months into the spring, so don’t sleep. Listen to “Hearts and Flowers” below and embrace all of the passionate, infectious energy that both LiBossi and Esab bring to the table.

Graduation Music Presents: ‘Recent Picks’ Playlist

By: Seamus Fay

As you may recall, we recently started a segment by the name of GRADUATION MUSIC RADIO, set to release a new episode every other Monday. This week, due to some technical difficulties, we are postponing the newest episode for a few days. To make up for it, we present to our readers a 15-track playlist of some of our favorite local songs at the moment!

Some tracks are older, some newer, but regardless, these are a few standout releases that you need to get hip to if you weren’t already. Check the playlist out below:

LiBOSSi – “Cheryl David”

By: Seamus Fay

I may not have been hip up until just the other day, but believe when I tell you that Dorchester native LiBOSSi has a special song on his hands with his latest offering, “Cheryl David”. This ode to the Curb Your Enthusiasm actor is an unlikely yet wonderfully energetic product. It finds its sweet spot in the intersection between raw energy and passion, lending itself abundant replay value and a spot at the top of my playlist as one of my favorite songs of 2018 as of yet.

With that being said, the neon melodies are what first caused me to gravitate towards this single. Upon second listen, it was the emphatic, powerful synth leaps. After third listen, the standout verses and clever lyricism, and so on and so on. Every time I return to “Cheryl David” I find myself discovering and obsessing over a new characteristic of the song, and simply put, I can’t keep this one off of repeat. LiBOSSi did his thing on this track and we here at Graduation Music will certainly be paying attention to his corner in the future.
