Lil Cxxp – “Bleachers” [Prod. Dee B]

By: Seamus Fay

After making his Graduation Music debut just a few weeks back with the stellar offering, “Forever“, Boston artist Lil Cxxp has been heavy in my rotation as one of the city’s most promising young artists to come to the light as of late. His style blends together the aggression of rock with the sonic direction of rap-influenced production, and in mixing the two, Cxxp is able to create worlds of emotion that any listener can relate to. Today, he shows this exact set of talents off with a brand new offering entitled “Bleachers”.

Produced by frequent collaborator, Dee B, this song finds its identity by weaving through the backdrop of addictive melodies and rapidly-paced drum patterns. The instrumental moves quickly yet surely, but by letting out a barrage of passionate deliveries, Cxxp is able to remain on pace while simultaneously expressing each and every feeling that his heart and mind struggle to wrap around. “Bleachers” is a remarkably introspective track in this way, and in relation to the title, it almost feels as though Cxxp uses this single to take a step back from the pressures of life and just watch and reflect on things from a distance. He takes a seat in the bleachers, picks up his microphone, and lets it all out in ways that will surely resonate with listeners of any demographic.

That being said, “Bleachers” is a must-listen, so be sure to check it out at the link provided below:
