At the very core of Graduation Music is music discovery. My favorite part of writing for the site is being put onto new talents, and today, I think I have something special for our readers to feast their ears on. That said, just a few days back, while scrolling through my SoundCloud feed, I was put onto the undeniably infectious talents of Hyde Park artist K.O.D. by way of his single, “ILoveMyBrothers”. It’s the kind of song that refuses to be played only once, so after throwing this one on repeat 4 or 5 times, I knew I wanted to write about it for the site. And here we are.
Produced by Toph Beifong, this track most impactfully makes its presence known by way of monstrous production and K.O.D.’s impulsively emotional vocals. Passion is found both within the sparkling instrumentation and addictive vocals in this one, and it only gets better when the densely packed lyricism comes to the light. Needless to say, after a few listens, I can guarantee that you won’t be able to stop singing this anthemic offering over and over again. But don’t just take my word for it.
