If you have been following Graduation Music for some time now, it goes without saying that you’re familiar with Lord Felix’s “voice memo” series, unleashing a series of demos and rare offerings that prove his polished artistry to an emphatic extent. Today, this streak continues with the latest of the collection, “Voice Memo #222”. And although I’ve said this with seemingly every new track from the Brockton native, I feel compelled to mention that this one may just be one of my personal favorite offerings of his catalog at the moment.
Produced by MORALBANDIT, this voice memo takes to a slow, disengaged beat to lend Felix the ability to let out his emotion in just the right atmosphere. It’s a wonderfully cohesive offering, and by offering his unapologetically honest feelings in such a sonically-fitting light, “Voice Memo #222” is yet another standout release from the Van Buren frontman. That being said, don’t sleep on the latest track from Lord Felix in all of its lyrical, dazed glory.
