Connecticut’s music scene may not be known as the strongest, but that’s not to say that there are no dope artists there, waiting to be discovered. On Graduation Music, we have just scratched the surface by covering names such as Lonny X and Genshin, but I think we just found another artist that is going to help put CT on the map when the time is right. Courtesy of a well-deserved Pigeons & Planes premiere, I was put onto CT artist Don Zio P just a few weeks ago and his latest anthem, “Hallelujah”. And trust me, before we get into this, I must warn you that you’re about to have this song on repeat all day after your first listen.
In essence, “Hallelujah” is the perfect celebration song for getting to the bag in 2018. No matter what your hustle may be, Don Zio P and Déjà Vu are ready to help you embrace the grind with the perfect song to act as the soundtrack, and if it’s up to them, it’s important to understand that “Ballin has nothing to do with how much money you make but always feeling good when that money comes in.” This very state of mind is reflected wonderfully over cheerful, triumphant melodies and an addicting tropical sound that will hold over well as we head into the spring and distance ourselves from winter.
I could go on about this song all day, but I’ll let you check it out for yourself. Listen to “Hallelujah” below and get hip to two of Connecticut’s rising stars before they blow up.
