Since I was first introduced to Springfield artist Tai Chi from his manager and Graduation Music contributor, Shamus Hill, I was immediately able to see that his talent runs deeper than your average artist. Marked by a unique, jazz-influenced style and riveting vocal ability, there’s no such thing as a dull release from the rising talent. Today, he’s back on our pages with a new, 3-track EP titled The Last WaterBender.
This release may be brief in its run time, but trust me when I say its dense in the way it explores Tai Chi’s eccentric creative vision. Classified under the genre of “Trap jazz” on SoundCloud, there really isn’t anything else quite comparable to the sound of of this project, and with that being said, I highly recommend giving this one a listen and getting hip to the distinctive sounds of such a promising act.
