Ending the wait for new music from his sophomore effort, Big Leano is finally here with a taste of Packula titled “Broke”. Produced by frequent collaborator Tee-WaTT, the single points to hard-hitting production and hypnotic melodies to help fuel the Boston artist’s intricate flows, blending together to create a standout track that will only ramp up the anticipation for the full mixtape. The track is unique in its melodic flows, but right at home in Leano’s lyricism and simply unmatched wordplay. Not very often do you hear a song in which every single line feels like the best or most memorable you’ve heard, but this just might be that song. It’s a wave.
We heard previews of “Broke” earlier this year throughout random performances and videos from studio sessions, but now that we have the real thing, it definitely exceeds any expectations I had set in my head. Leano attacks the mic with relentless flows and the same infectious energy that he usually possesses, shining light on ambitious metaphors and often times humorous comparisons that make the hometown artist’s style so alluring. Listen to “Broke” below and keep an eye out for more information on Packula hopefully coming soon.
