2017 has been a big year for Austin Fair. Releasing several notable singles and a very solid project in Everlasting, he’s keeping the energy up with his latest mixtape Dead Roses, 8 tracks in whole with each one uniquely dope. On the tape, Fair finds himself navigating through life in introspective verses that all form together to create the rising artist as a whole, complex in some ways and simply relatable in others. It’s an interesting listen, and with a ranging catalog of high-quality music to make his case, I see immense potential in Austin Fair.
And I can’t go without mentioning the consistency that he has found in building chemistry with producers including Humbeats, Tee-WaTT and more. By cementing these relationships and working to the best of his ability in unison with them, Fair clearly knows where he’s going, and I’m excited to watch. Alongside an infectious style, a noteworthy work ethic, and the chemistry and relationships to make an impressionable run, Dead Roses is the current stop on the journey that is Austin Fair.
