FABZABOVE has provided quite a few solid, honest songs now, and he’s becoming a key figure in this Boston rap scene with each release. His newest song “Dead That” is especially strong, with smooth production from Kenny Prosper running along his hanging vocals and melodic delivery. Lyrically it makes perfect sense with the beat, and Fabz did a great job assembling the different parts of the song together to create a complete vibe for listeners to rock with.
The slightly ominous keys with the trap drums are always a go-to sound for me to listen to, an aspect that Kenny Prosper definitely did justice in this one. Overall, I feel like this song stands strong by itself, but it also runs well with the whole FABZABOVE narrative. The track makes sense in terms of the creative direction that he has taken his music, and it will surely land well with fans, creating hype for a possible project from the artist in the future.
