Dad Jeans is back with a new single and video titled “Stately Palms”, a wavy, relaxed song that showcases his talent and versatility as both a producer and as a singer. The visuals, directed by Dad Jeans himself, Liv Slaughter, and Haasan Barclay are trippy, with bold intersections of color that make for interesting contrasts. My favorite part so far is the extremely abstract and distorted guitar solo flowing into an almost triumphant ending of the song, illustrated by Dad Jeans dropping a jar of orange paint as the beat goes in. “Stately Palms” is yet another example of all the talents that the Rochester native has and how he is able to showcase most of them within a three-minute song, embracing switches in the beat and making every track as unique as possible.
