Dorchester artist Valley is returning this week with new music to follow up his great debut of “Landed”. Lately he has been tweeting about 2 new tracks rather than just the one, so hopefully the second track will also be coming soon.
Lord Felix got a shout out from @supmemenewyork on Twitter, an account with 11.6k followers. The tweet was a snippet from his recent “Brief Intermission” video, and so far it has almost 1,600 retweets and 1,800 favorites. And the video itself on YouTube has 19,000 views. It’s only a matter of time for the Van Buren artist with such high quality work. Get ready for Flowers coming very soon!
Reedus 3M dropped a new track recently titled “Lost”, a fun track using a catchy melody to fuel the song. Reedus’ bars on this one seem like he’s having a good time with it, as he seemed to focus on punchline-worthy wordplay with clever twists of words that make the listener pay close attention to every bar. I’m also a fan of the flow on “Lost” and the pauses in the beat to emphasize certain lines and hot streaks that Reedus has throughout the track. You can hear the song below.
Jefe Replay’s Proper Finessments is getting closer and closer with @askforjuan on Instagram at 700 followers. It sounds like the visuals coming at 750 followers are coming soon, with the director putting a picture with the caption “About to wrap this new @jefereplay visual” on his Instagram story. The only information we know so far about these visuals is that they were filmed mostly in Roxbury and they are for a track titled “Stay Ugly Get Money”. Also get ready for Jefe Replay’s new Ask For Juan shirts coming soon as pictured below (they will also be available in black).
MyCompiledThoughts tweeted this out last week about a new track coming soon:
BTW, this cover art is so tight. MCT always goes hard on cover art.
Fresh Out The Mint, a popular Boston radio show is coming out with shirts soon to go along with their stickers. You can check them out below, and be on the lookout for FOTM’s most recent interview with the founder of Blanc Agency, Pat Dagle, dropping on Soundcloud within the next few days.
Michael Christmas starts his Pigeons & Planes tour today with a show in Washington D.C., and he has a show at the Sinclair in Cambridge on Friday. The below tweet may possibly be a hint that the project is coming very soon – this week or the week after soon. If he’s playing songs from the album while on tour, it would make sense that he would want people to know the words and get excited when it plays, but at the same time, it would be interesting if he built up hype by playing the songs during shows and then dropping after the tour. I’m excited for whatever happens, though, and I’m sure that this tour will build up a lot of excitement for Christmas’ upcoming album.
